I'm "It"

I usually don't do these because it requires too much thinking, but since it was from my sweet friend, Angi, I'll comply...plus when I checked what photo it was, I had to post it.

Here are the rules:
1) Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer.
2) Select the 4th picture in the folder.
3) Explain the picture.
4) Tag 4 people to do the same. No cheating (cropping, editing, etc.)

Since I don't have 4 folders and just throw all of my photos into one folder simply labeled "pictures" (cause I'm organized that way) I just added my 4th photo. Here it is:



This was right after the first (and only) time Eddie took Averi to get a haircut. I thought I really should call him and make sure he knew to tell them that her bangs should fall a tiny below or at her eyebrows when they are wet. I second guessed myself and didn't make that phone call. I got a phone call shortly after they got back that went something like this:

Eddie: Ummm, what do you usually tell them about her bangs?
Sammi: Uh oh!
Eddie: (a mixture of hysterical laughter and fear)
Sammi: How short are they?
Eddie: Short...not too short....pretty short.

Speaking of short, check out the shorts Eddie's wearing in the shot. He's had those since before we got married. We both agreed that it's probably best that he never wear those in public. He gave me the okay to post the picture though.

And that's the 4th picture in my one and only "picture" folder. Not only am I unorganized, but I'm a tagged rule breaker also.

I'm tagging Amy only because Angi tagged the only other ones I personally know with blogs....so there ya go.

No-Sew Pillow Cover

This was the easiest project. Seriously, it took me all of 15 minutes. I think it turned out pretty cute (cuter than the picture shows). I made my fringe pretty thick...thicker fringe means less to tie...less to tie means less time. That's how I roll ;)

A Year with Kinsley!

Just a little over a year ago, we welcomed Miss Kinsley Grace into our world. Can I just tell you that she is the most awesomest baby EVA!!!

Here are some interesting things about Kinsley:

- She is so content and pleasant.

- We call her Dora because she loves to just roam around the house, checking things out.

- We also call her a human vacuum cleaner because she loves to put every single piece of dirt, food, paper, and whatever else she can find into her mouth.

- She has beautiful blue eyes and some outrageous hair.

- She lights up when she sees her brother & sister.

- She loves taking baths and is constantly trying to make her way into our bathroom. When she sneaks by, she'll turn on the water for the tub.

- She took 4 or 5 steps yesterday. I know she could walk if she really wanted to!

- She is getting her top side teeth in before her front teeth. That will look really cool since she's already got her bottom two teeth. Obviously, she dares to be different.

- She loves to empty out the tupperware cabinet and climb in and just sit there. She's probably trying to hide from Averi!

- She looks like her daddy.

- She gets very bored riding in the car.

- She loves music....especially when it's coming from Jordan on his drums. She dances and dances.

- She loves to show off her mad clapping skills.

- She has blessed our lives more than words can express!

Pssst.....

Alright, I have always wanted one of these cute little gossip benches, so I was so grateful when my awesome friend, Kris, passed this on to me. She found it at a garage sale, and I think she paid $15.00 for it. I really wanted to try a creative, fun, bright color on it, but I instead opted for the safe route and went with black.

And here it is now.....





I think my next project will be these no sew pillow covers!
